Hi, there, friend! Nice ta’ meetcha! My name’s Abby Franklin. I’m a 15-year-old INFJ who loves pouring over a good book with music blasting in her ears.
Not specific enough? Okay, fine.
I live in the good ol’ state of Georgia. I say y’all with an accent, play the guitar, and take great pride in my order of the classic chicken sandwich and waffle fries at Chick-fil-a. I do not listen to country music or drink sweet tea.
I’m a writer. My gosh, I love to write more than I can put into words, which is kind of ironic. There’s just something about having lives, stories, worlds, right there at the tips of your fingers. Writing is an art, one of the most complicated out there, and I strive to make my words a masterpiece.
My writing began with a simple love for reading, which was established early in my life. I vividly remember the proud feeling of reading Green Eggs and Ham by myself for the first time. My favorite books span from R.J. Palacio’s Wonder to Gail Carson Levine’s Fairest.
Theatre and music have both been huge parts of my life since I was little. I’m always, always singing something; there’s a never-ending playlist in my mind! I’m a really big fan of stage and voice acting. If I ever met Kirby Morrow, I think I might die of excitement 😛
Okay, yes, I am obsessed with Lego Ninjago. The show, the movie, the voice actors, the characters… guys it’s so perfect and feels and aahhh! People openly make fun of me for it, but do I care? NOPE. I grew up with my four little baby ninja and have been given the honor of watching them grow up and mature through 7 awesome years of the show.
If I’m gonna end with anything, I gotta end with Jesus. No matter how much I love writing or Ninjago or Chick-fil-a sandwiches, Jesus will always be the one I aspire to put first. I mess up a lot (more often than not, probably!), but I still want to give my best to Him.
He died for me. He took my sins upon Himself and banished them to where I could never find them. And that’s cause for celebration!!!
I really hope that you enjoy whatever time you spend on When Words Fly, and that maybe something here will inspire you to be bold, creative, and eager to chase your dreams.
